Meeting together while at home in 2020

During 2020, High School Groups across Australia may not have been able to meet in person. In spite of this, the members and coordinators continued to meet virtually in each state across the nation - all providing opportunities for youth to continue connecting and fostering friendship in the spirit of care for others!

Please find a collection of group photos provided by each state, taken during their zoom meetings below:

Report written by Victoria HSG

Over the period of Covid pandemic, we were given an invaluable opportunity to engage with the future successors of kosen rufu, our High School Division members through the virtual world. The HSG team was determined to continue the discussion meetings via Zoom and it has been a pleasant surprise for us all to witness the growth of the young members during this period. This year, we had the privilege to invite some high school members to be part of every planning processes of our monthly High School Group meetings. We are constantly inspired to learn from their wisdom and creativity through dialogues and growing together through this process.

We are very honoured and grateful to present our hope-filled youths contributing to our monthly meetings: Verlyn Teo constructing the theme of the meeting by covering a gosho, Justin Lian and Jaydon Lee introducing the topics and facilitating group discussions, Angelina Lian constructing the theme and concluding the meeting, Yee Heng Lee, Ariana and Yi Rou innovatively created ice-breaking games for us all to have fun and laughter. Empowered by these young lion kings, it is for this reason that SGI President Ikeda has poured his energy into fostering the youth into genuine leaders of the 21st century.

They are our future and we will constantly strive and redetermine to become capable youths through our own human revolution!
